In my artwork Donovan, I wanted to explore the invisible but ever-present connections that bind us to our environment and to each other. The scene, shrouded in thick fog, is centered around an industrial streetlight. It casts a muted, almost eerie glow, illuminating a tangled network of wires that stretch into the unseen distance.
The atmosphere feels suffocating, isolated, yet at the same time, the wires represent unseen connections—perhaps fragile, but they are still there. The hazy glow of the light suggests a guiding presence, one that exists even in the murk of uncertainty. To me, Donovan speaks to how connections—whether personal, technological, or emotional—often remain hidden but are always present, influencing and shaping our experiences.
This artwork reflects the tension between isolation and connection, and how sometimes, despite being surrounded by the fog of uncertainty, we are never truly alone.
